After an exhausting 4hrs flight to Taipei, we finally reached Tao Yuan Intl. Airport. From my pic on the left, you should know how tired and haggard I looked. Bleah~

This is our first free & easy tour outside Singapore + M'sia so basically we have only each other to rely on. We decided to take a Guo Guang bus to Taipei Main Station before taking metro to Guting Station, where EE Hostel is located. Just imagine us dragging our baggages along the streets and in the metro station. Nobody suspected us not being foreigners. But living in a hostel is again part of the excitement 'cos our hostel is located in a residential neighbourhood, so we are able to assimilate with the Taiwanese for the next 5 days.

After checking into the hostel (by the way the hostel is full of Caucasians, I gauged the total percentile to be around 85% of Caucasians), we decided on a change of our original itnenary for that night. Shi Da Night Market is too far from our hostel, thus, we've decided on Xi Men Ding for dinner 'cos we were really famished!

西門町

This is the night view of the buzzling Xi Men Ding. We didn't stay there for long though. After getting Ah Zong Mian Xian (we were sweating profusely while slurping the noodles along the crowded street. It's Summer for goodness' sake!)+ Bubble tea, we headed off to the huge 24hrs Eslite Bookshop (誠品書店) at 忠孝敦華 station.

By the way, Miss ST was getting excited over the enormous Harry Potter banners. -.-''

"Ehhhh... Miss ST, why ain't you smiling at the camera???"

Oh yeah and before I forgot, Miss ST and I came across this unknown singer's autograph session at XMD (Pics on the right). Apparently I think Miss ST recognised that particular singer, whom seems distant to me.

Anyway we didn't linger at XMD for long as time was ticking so we headed off straight to the 24hrs Eslite Bookshop.

I was too excited about visiting the bookshop that I totally forgotten about taking pictures of it. We stayed until 2+am and I can assure you that the 3-storey bookshop was crowded as usual even though it was way past midnight...
