Despite hearing over and over again on how boring this old quaint town can be in the summer, you definitely gotta be here to experience how a place can be so peaceful and quiet (not to mention boring to an unimaginable extent) to actually realize the difference. Anyone who knows me know very well that I am no movie goer but I've watched three movies alone at the theatre this week. Am I really that bored, tell me about it! With a car now, everything is made so convenient even if it means I'm all by myself. Kill me but I rather be dead than going back to those old days when I could only be stuck at home facing my laptop or lying listlessly on bed. I still have yet to experience loneliness which I dread the day it comes, so far, the freedom I have and enjoyed is more than I can ask for.
I was watching The Hangover earlier today and boy it's definitely not a let down! 100x hilarious, entertaining and it gives me a sense of thrill while watching it. So give this movie a shot when it is up in the theaters in Singapore! Other than the Hangover, I've two other movies which I've yet to watch but is pinning to watch. The thriller of The Ugly Truth, starring Katherine Heigl, one of the the sexiest but bitchiest woman in Hollywood, has been up and running on television channels for weeks. This heavily advertised movie finally has it's premiere today on Jul 24th, though I've checked that ratings ain't that high I'm still holding my interest in this movie. The other movie, Public Enemies, which has my beloved Johnny Depp in it, is a definite must watch. Somehow I'm gonna drag him with me to watch Public Enemies tomorrow after dinner. So the conclusion of these movie reviews is, go for The Hangover if you need comical relief! I can't tell for sure how those two movies above would be worth the time and money but I'm coming back to update you guys! Adios! Hasta luego!

Oh Gosh... Homesickness officially hits on me today! I miss my family, siewtee and co.
Most of all I miss my dear Didi!!!

And so I've bought a 26" LCD television initially meant for my bedroom but is now resting in the living room. It is cheap but it's working great so what can I ask for more. The best of all is being able to watch the over 100 cable channels for free, I mean look at it this way, I don't have to pay a single cent for those programs, all thanks to the previous tenant who has apparently forgot or couldn't be bothered to terminate his or her subscription to Cox cable tv and I benefited! But I guess this free gift wouldn't last forever so I may as well enjoy to the maximum before I have to pay for my own television programs. I rented 2 good movies yesterday, 'Knowing' and 'The other end of the line'! Ling came over to my place and we watched till the wee hours and amazingly I woke up at 12pm today. I've only a couple of hours to actually settle down to study for my upcoming exam which is scheduled on coming Wednesday (it's barely a week and there goes the first exam!) before rushing off the meet a friend for dinner. So until the next time guys! Bye!

Summer in Tucson is hot as hell! It is way beyond 'melting in a baking oven' and I was shocked to find that I was two shades tanner despite it's only officially my fifth day here. So can you imagine that? No wonder a research finding states that Arizona is one of the top five continents with a high risk of contacting skin cancer! I have to constantly remind myself that I've only 2 more summers to go before I packed and leave this freaking place. 2 summers are equivalent to 10 months of unbearable heat!

So the most unimaginable thing happened to me this afternoon.I was locked out of my apartment and for your information, it was a freakin' 45 degrees Celsius outside! After days of jet lag waking up at 3 or 4am every morning, I actually managed to sleep till my alarm buzzed off and dragged me out of my dream. Having only 20 minutes to get ready for class, I actually forgot my purse and keys before I get outta the house. I had to wait for a long four hours before the maintenance guy could save my butt! And hell no,I would not wanna walk back to campus! That freaking 20mins walk back home under the killing heat is painful enough. Since I had another 4 hours to spare before I could get into my cosy apartment, I decided to head to a nearby Greek Patio for lunch cos I was famished! Oh do I have to mention that the Greek Salad and Gyros served are freakin' awesome? Anyway I was at the counter and had my orders when BAM! At that moment, I realized I didn't have my purse with me. WTH! I shamefully but honestly told the lady behind the counter that I didn't have my money with me and I would be right back. Of course I did not return. Once again, I had to walk under the burning sun aimlessly, wondering where should I go... URGH!

Major downpours have been going on for the last couple of weeks. I absolutely enjoy heavy rain with crack rolls and rumbles outside my windows. Ironically the gloomy sky uplifted my mood tremendously, which perfectly completes my Sunday afternoon. Call me a sadistic! It could be a perfect time to snuggle under my comforters if I had not sleep in for the last couple of hours. Much hassles are expected over the next few weeks, with many records are waiting to be set straight like my car insurance for one thing, and the hassle that comes with moving into a new apartment and um yea I'm planning to put on braces when I return back to AZ. This is by far one of the major 'life-changing' decision I've decided upon after much thoughts. The agonizing process of going through the pain and sufferings of putting on braces is something which puts me off. But no pain no gain. And yes if the quote for 2 years orthodontics costs sound reasonable I'm totally up for it.
