Summer in Tucson is hot as hell! It is way beyond 'melting in a baking oven' and I was shocked to find that I was two shades tanner despite it's only officially my fifth day here. So can you imagine that? No wonder a research finding states that Arizona is one of the top five continents with a high risk of contacting skin cancer! I have to constantly remind myself that I've only 2 more summers to go before I packed and leave this freaking place. 2 summers are equivalent to 10 months of unbearable heat!

So the most unimaginable thing happened to me this afternoon.I was locked out of my apartment and for your information, it was a freakin' 45 degrees Celsius outside! After days of jet lag waking up at 3 or 4am every morning, I actually managed to sleep till my alarm buzzed off and dragged me out of my dream. Having only 20 minutes to get ready for class, I actually forgot my purse and keys before I get outta the house. I had to wait for a long four hours before the maintenance guy could save my butt! And hell no,I would not wanna walk back to campus! That freaking 20mins walk back home under the killing heat is painful enough. Since I had another 4 hours to spare before I could get into my cosy apartment, I decided to head to a nearby Greek Patio for lunch cos I was famished! Oh do I have to mention that the Greek Salad and Gyros served are freakin' awesome? Anyway I was at the counter and had my orders when BAM! At that moment, I realized I didn't have my purse with me. WTH! I shamefully but honestly told the lady behind the counter that I didn't have my money with me and I would be right back. Of course I did not return. Once again, I had to walk under the burning sun aimlessly, wondering where should I go... URGH!
